At the Accra High Court, six students of University of Ghana had filed a suit against the University of Ghana and three bodies within the institution over irregularities in an upcoming Student Representative Council elections.Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Ghana, Legon, the University of Ghna SRC Electoral Commission and University of Ghana Judicial board are three other bodies who were inscribed in the court filings dated 11thAugust,2023.
The plantiffs Samuel Addo,Harry Owusu Frimpong,Raman Yusif,Aki-Ola Aziz,Christian Bortey Borketey and Richmond Sarfo, all SRC aspirants are hoping to get an introductory injunction placed on all electoral activities related to the SRC.The first hearing of the case is scheduled for August 28, 2023.
