The Anglican Chuch had expressed their disappointment in the conduct of the college Chaplin.
The Anglican church of Ghana under the leadership of Most Rev’d Dr.Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith had issued a press statement dated 17thAugust,2021 on a viral video making waves on the internet .The Church expressed its disappointment over the misconduct of the said priest in the viral video and have therefore assured the public that thorough investigations will be made and punitive actions will be taken in accordance to the norms and values of the Church if the Priest is found guilty.The Church also intends to offer counselling sessions for the student involved in the video to protect them from likely physiological impact.
A write-up had correspondingly been shared online by a group called “Concerned Students” of St.Monica’s College of education.Per the group from the all girls institution located in Mampong, the video of Father Larbi which happened to have surfaced on the internet yesterday 16thAugust,2021 was taken during a Sunday morning service on 15thAugust,2021 where the Priest presented some awards and money together with the kisses.In the viral video,the priest could be seen taking turns to kiss a number of female students while others cheer up to it.The video had however received a lot of condemnation and discontent on various social media platforms as well as the Ghanaian public ever since it surfaced.
